A Country made, Small size storage Box - Circa 1800
A Country made small size storage box with sliding lid which would probably date to around the 1800 period.
Simply made of Oak with crude Thumb notch on the lid, This charming piece of English cottage Treen would possably have held small Tapersticks, Its form mirroring that of the much larger forms of candle boxes that are to be found.
Great colour and Patina & of a rare small form.
