A Pair of WW2 G.H.Q India Offices Arm Insignia Cards. Blue and Red were Indian G.H.Q (General Headquarters) & The star being the Emblem of India.
History- G.H.Q was located in Delhi under the commander chief, India who commanded all British & Indian personnel of all 3 armed forces.
During the first 2 years of the war G.H.Q India was responsible for operations in Burma.
In 1943 G.H.Q India developed at the time the most comprehensive training programme for jungle warfare than any other country. Their tactics playing an essential role in the defeat of the Japanese army in the Burma campaign, 1944-1945.
These cards with Bullion star would have been worn on the upper arm potion of an offices Battle Dress Jacket.
