Brass string box circa 1800

Probably around 1770 is this all brass 'string box' is of superb quality and heavy guage. The dispenser having a most attractive twist off domed top with steel guillotine which is still very sharp. All standing on a stepped and flared foot. It possible would have been used in an apothecary shop. An extremely rare example of this type. 

The string box measures 11cm in diameter (base) and 17.5cm in height (including guillotine).
